  the society never said that armageddon would come in 1975, it was just a few brothers who went over the top.

  (so you dont remember the watchtower article why are you looking forward to 1975?

  : the naïve apostate, who says that the internet/paedophile issue/problem x is going to bring the Society crashing down in flames.

  Which apostate said that? Let's thrash him/her.

  Are you someone who was going to write to the media and now won't because you feel you have been adjudged as naive by a new authority on the board?

  We ought to be more careful in what we write in such sweeping statements that sway opinion so very easily. Labels stick.

  Give me someone with the courage of his/her convictions any day! I do not buy into their tarring us with the label "apostate" anyway. That's a purely artificial term, and I refuse to use it. EVER.

  in a nutshell, i told her that i have found too many discrepancies in the wts.. i told her abbout the 607bce date.

  : They also told me to "never, ever, ever say the word 'molest' about anyone in the organization!" The elder who talked to me even said that at the Ministerial Training School this topic had been discussed and it was orders from God's organisation.

  The word 'orders' carries the meaning of an authoritative command that requires obedience. How many persons have received such orders, to cover up, to look the other way, not to rock the boat, either directly or indirectly by example. Such thought pattern becomes second nature very quickly, and is passed to every new elder.

  I think that many people will verify this kind of behavior, learned from a Ministerial Training School yet! At first everyone assumes there must be some exaggeration, because Jehovah's Witnesses are a clean organisation. It is, however, engrained very deeply that the organisation is vulnerable to attack and persecution, and it must always be protected even at the risk of not telling the truth.

  This last poster has just mightily underscored your argument, Barbara. Looks like it is going to be downhill all the way with this one, with so many things going that will expose the bad policy and more importantly PROVE the bad behavior.

  Mario Moreno, the Watchtower lawyer, lies when he says it is elders who "screw up" and not the Society. They are merely doing what they are trained to do, to protect the organization! What would it look like if some little child claimed that an elder raped her with his fingers? That MUST be covered up; we will take care of the elder and bomb him with scriptures and advice to pray and study and go to meetings. After all, we are in the last days when Satan the Devil takes advantage of human imperfection and weakness, are we not? And who is he after? The glorious ones--the elders. I wish you could hear my sarcasm!

  Only Jehovah's crazy Witnesses would understand the psychology of this insanity. If Dateline can tell that story, it will be a program to remember for everyone. I hope it will be put on the Internet in MP3 or some such format.

  I thank you, Barbara, and I will myself urge others to write and to do the things you have outlined. This is no longer a pebble dropped into the sea; it is a boulder dropped in a frog pond that will be noticed everywhere.

  Russell as "That Servant"; Re: Dunsscot

  since dunsscot claims he's leaving this board, and in answer to my specific request for a committment to answer all replies i might give to his latest replies to my previous dissections of his nonsense he said that he would not, i won't be giving a detailed reply to him.. however, dunsscot's posts contain a number of statements that prove how easily the watchtower society fools the jw community by lying to it, either outright or in so many words.. in this post we will examine a fiction that the society has managed to get poor people like dunsscot to believe with respect to c. t. russell, namely, that russell never claimed that he was "the faithful and wise servant" of matthew 24:45. the simple truth is that russell did indeed believe it.

  the fact that he did was printed in the watch tower, and the society itself taught it until about 1927.. let's first look at the context of dunsscot's denial of this important bible student teaching.

  in the set of exchanges below, the reader can see that dunsscot is attempting to deny that jw leaders claim to be god's exclusive earthy spokesmen.

  Were you to make the statement to others that the FDS/GB is not a true prophet, or even that it is not a prophet, you could summarily be disfellowshipped for apostasy. Or you could be declared as having disassociated yourself for rejecting the true channel, especially if you did not show up for the grilling session.

  i just want to make sure i fully understand, as stated here as fact, that judah schroeder was never, is or ever will be, in any way, shape or form, a "representative" or "director" for any part of the wtbts; no matter what corporate name you call them.. what has he done and/ or what were his "duties"?.

  This presentation was like many others JWs have made in getting in bed with CESNUR and trying to sway public opinion--yes, that is public relations activity. Europeans seem to have a better understanding of this. The citation below is not even from the media, but someone who writes about Scientology. Note his use of the words "pony show."
